J. D. Williams, Sr. Bible Institute (JDWSRBI) welcomes students who desire to deepen their knowledge of Scripture, strengthen their Christian character, and prepare for ministry, leadership, and Christian service. Rooted in the Apostolic faith, the Institute provides biblical and ministry-centered education designed to support spiritual and academic growth.
 
Admission Requirements
 
Applicants should demonstrate a sincere desire to study God's Word and uphold the spiritual and academic standards of JDWSRBI. Applicants should:
 

  • Be at least 17 years of age, unless specially approved.

  • Provide evidence of high school graduation, equivalent preparation, or approved exception.

  • Submit a completed application for admission.

  • Provide applicable academic transcripts.

  • Provide pastoral approval or recommendation when required.

  • Pay the required application fee.

  • Agree to JDWSRBI's academic, attendance, conduct, and institutional policies.


Consistent with its Apostolic identity, JDWSRBI expects applicants to be actively pursuing or to have experienced repentance, water baptism in
the name of Jesus Christ, and reception of the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:38 and Acts 2:4.

JDWSRBI offers biblical and ministry education through Certificate, Diploma, and Associate-level programs, with online, on-campus, and certain hybrid options identified in the current catalog.

Religious Education DisclosureDegree programs offered by JDWSRBI have been declared by the appropriate state authority exempt from licensure requirements under N.C.G.S. § 116-15(d) with respect to religious education. Exemption from licensure is not based upon assessment of program quality under established licensing standards.

Requirements & Deadlines

The admissions team at J. D. Williams, Sr. Bible Institute is here to guide you through every step of your application. If you have questions regarding specific program prerequisites or need assistance with the portal, our office is available for direct consultation.

Academic Requirements

  • Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
  • High school diploma or GED for undergraduate certificates.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English for theological study.

Spiritual & Ministry Readiness

Candidates must submit a written personal testimony detailing their spiritual journey and a letter of recommendation from their local pastor or ministry leader confirming active involvement in the Apostolic faith.

Key Deadlines

Fall Semester: Applications must be submitted by August 1st.
Spring Semester: Applications must be submitted by December 15th.
Early decision candidates should apply by June 1st for priority registration.
