Strengthening the Church Through Biblical Education and Ministry Preparation
J. D. Williams, Sr. Bible Institute (JDWSRBI) connects biblical education with the life and ministry of the Church. The Institute shares a historic relationship with the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc., founded by Bishop J. D. Williams, Sr., for whom JDWSRBI is named. His legacy of Apostolic faith, biblical teaching, and Christian leadership continues to support the Institute’s mission of preparing students for faithful Christian service.
This ministry relationship supports practical cooperation in ministerial training, leadership development, mentoring, church-based learning, conferences, continuing education, and ministry resources. Through its academic programs, JDWSRBI equips students with biblical knowledge, Apostolic/Pentecostal theological understanding, spiritual formation, and practical skills for ministry and Christian leadership.
While JDWSRBI and the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. share a common heritage and ministry commitment, each maintains its own governance and responsibilities. JDWSRBI oversees its educational and academic functions, while the Progressive Church oversees its ecclesiastical and denominational affairs, allowing both organizations to cooperate in ministry while maintaining appropriate institutional accountability.
